Hi: If your notebook has 4 GB of memory, I know you are not going to believe this, but for some crazy reason having 4 GB of memory installed on that platform causes the sound not to work. Try this workaround for that if your notebook has 4 GB of memory. A problem with the Conexant audio means that you may hear no sound in Windows 10 even though everything appears to be working correctly.

Microsoft suggests running msconfig.exe and heading to the Boot tab. Click the Advanced options button, check the Maximum memory box and set the value to 3072. I'VE FOUND AN INTERESTING!

So I ended up having this issue on my own HP G60, and ran across this topic. I understand that the audio driver does not like 4GB, and the solution for you guys was to set a ram limit of 3GB (1024MB x 3).

So, I proposed a solution to myself. The working theory in my head, was 4GB=1024MB x 4 = 4096MB So since 4096MB is exactly 4GB, what if I just subtracted one megabyte instead of one gigabyte? So, with 4095MB as my ram limit in MSConfig, I restarted the computer. Audio and Ram! I mean, who's going to miss 1MB?
